Panthers in our upper school programs have an abundance of fine art, athletic, leadership and service opportunities from which to choose.

​Concert Band
Students who have developed their instrument skills during their time in middle school with the MHES Beginner Band, may join the MHES Concert Band. The Concert Band develops advanced music skills and performs for school, chapel and community events.

​Drama
Our upper school drama program gives all learners the opportunity to continue to build their appreciation of theater and hone their dramatic techniques and skills. Throughout their time in this program, drama students work towards final performances by learning lines, working on blocking, and character building. The students perform for school events and community events.

​Visual Arts
Our visual art program provides a studio based environment in which genres are explored, and advanced skills developed. Our MHES upper school studio allows students to pursue AP courses in drawing, 2D, and 3D art.

​Athletics
Panthers benefit from the expert coaching and encouragement of our amazing Athletic Director, Coach Antonio Grant. Coach Grant brings forth all his expertise from his time representing USC Columbia in Men’s Basketball from ‘96’-’00 and subsequently as a professional basketball player. Our students are motivated to become not just one but two, three and four sport athletes throughout the school year.

Leadership & Service
Students in our MHES upper school programs continue to develop all aspects of their service and leadership. MHES Student Council, Beta Club, Interact and National Honors Society are invaluable platforms from which our most senior panthers can contribute to both our school and community.
