Welcome to Preschool to Kindergarten
The PS, PK, and K programs at Mead Hall, support active learning through inquiry and play. Students hone fine and gross motor skills along with developmentally appropriate academic benchmarks in a fun and engaging environment. Our hands-on science/STEM program begins in these early years where faculty foster engagement and excitement in learning about the world around them.  Music, media studies, PE, sacred studies enhance the learning experience each week, with studio art beginning in kindergarten. Small class sizes provide individual attention and support as well as increased opportunities for exploration inside the classroom, around the campus, and across Aiken.  There is no match in Aiken for the academic foundations that are offered to students in early education at Mead Hall, and we have been named the best K-12 private school in Aiken County by Niche.

Declamation (PK-Grade 12)
An Aiken Prep tradition since 1946, students in PK – Grade 12 memorize an age-appropriate speech, poem, or monologue, and recite it in front of their peers.  The best from each class in PK-grade 4 will go on to recite their piece in a Declamation Showcase in the St. Thaddeus Sanctuary in front of friends and family. The opportunity to memorize and recite a selected work increases vocabulary, enhances diction, and strengthens public speaking skills.  The confidence instilled in these students results in poised and articulate adults.
