Playground Spruce Up (August 13th)
Each year families gather to spread new wood chips and sand in the school playground. Volunteers are needed with rakes and wheel barrows.
Back to School Orientation (August 15th)
Families gather in the Sanctuary for general announcements and introductions. Families proceed to the child's classroom to meet with the teacher. Parents can sign up in the classroom for parties, field trips, and homeroom parent. A reception will follow in the cafeteria with additional sign up opportunities. Volunteers are needed to help set up, clean up and serve food.
The Rummage Sale (September 25th)
The Rummage Sale is held in the Fall. This is a great time to clean out your attic and closets. The profits are used to Fund the PTO and purchase items for the classrooms. Volunteers are needed at this event to help unload items and price the items. The sale is held on saturday, but the preparation begins as early as wednesday.
Mead Hall Sunday (October 3rd)
St. Thaddeus holds a service to honor Mead Hall Students. PTO supplies a spaghetti lunch after the service. Volunteers are needed to help cook that morning and clean up after lunch.
The Book Fair (October 30-November 7th)
The Book Fair provides funds for the PTO and classroom materials. The Book Fair gives parents the opportunity to purchase books for the library and their children's classrooms. Volunteers are needed to help set up and take down the Book Fair. People are needed to staff the check out table during the event.
Fall Carnival (October 29th)
The PTO and Middle School students sponsor the Fall Carnival. Students and children are encouraged to bring their costumes and have fun. Each student can bring a decorated pumpkin for the pumpkin contest. Parents help set up games and clean up as well as organize prizes and treat bags for each student.
Teacher Appreciation Week (March 21st-24th)
PTO shows their appreciation for our teachers at Mead Hall. This week you can volunteer to make breakfast or cover a teacher's classroom while they go out to lunch.
Strawberry Festival (May 7th)
The Strawberry Festival is the PTO's biggest fundraiser. It is a day of family fun! Kids enjoy games, pony rides and inflatables. Entertainment is provided on the stage. Lunch can be purchased along with strawberry desserts. Vendors are in attendance with lots of wares to sell.
Volunteers are needed to man all the booths and children's activities. You can help dish desserts, sell frozen goods or watch the children play games. Opportunities at this event are endless.
